Hello Dear Rose Friends,
It’s been glorious weather here at Clonbinane with just enough ‘rain event’ to keep the soil nicely moist without having to irrigate garden beds … YET! It will happen of course but meantime, we’ve fertilized all the gardens and mulching has been a priority with an extra pair of hands during the school holidays … grandson Cooper hard at work with Janelle supervising
Last week’s product promotion was a resounding success and very timely that you all stocked up on the Organic Rose Management products! I’m very interested in your feedback about the Fair Dinkum Seaweed Gold and Bloom Boom because I’ve used them both for a long time and find the results amazing – let me see pictures of your roses after several applications as I’m sure you’ll agree, the roses become more bountiful and robust when using these two products regularly.
Aphids have definitely moved into Clonbinane and there’s just a few too many for the little birds to keep up because it’s still relatively cold each morning and the ladybirds aren’t making their presence felt just yet either!

It appears to be fungus … do you use the organic rose management spray program?
Eco Fungicide with Eco oil and Seaweed Gold solution should sort this out but meantime, I would trim that damaged foliage off … did you have aphids earlier?
They can cause this damage too …

Yes, I do use the organic management program but probably didn’t spray as much in the last few months as I would normally and had terrible aphid infestation before that.
Will get the eco combo spray going again.

| Predators were on hand in large numbers which is why we’re leaving this for Mother Nature to clean up and I’ll put more pics in of these same roses next week … |

It’s ever so important that you understand potted roses must be watered every day as the weather heats up and plants have adequate root systems and they’re starting to flower.

Hey just a question, looking for some help. I have a Lincoln and a just joey hybrid tea's and they are both going very yellow. I have attached photos. A lot of the roses are getting a fair few yellow leaves. Any suggestions? I am only watering 2 times a week as it's getting hot up here now and I have given them some iron last weekend but they are continuing to go yellow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, my goodness! They’re desperate for a decent watering!!! You may have to apply a soil wetter in order to get that potting media wet again … sometimes, depending on the quality of media, it’s near impossible to get those pine bark chips wet after they’ve been very dry.
You need to purchase seaweed solution and soil wetter, apply as per instructions and moving forward, all potted plants need at least daily watering … you’ve also got terracotta pots which means they’ll dry out quicker than plastic pots … glad it’s weekend and you’ve got time to attend to these poor dry plants!

No amount of any product other than water was going to assist with getting the foliage on those roses healthy! Drew assured me he would water his pots daily and use seaweed solution more consistently so the roses will flourish again soon.
