Rose Rambler: 26th October 2023. Watering Systems & Dead-heading

27th Oct 2023

Hello Dear Rose Friends,

We’re fast zooming towards summer so we hope you’ve checked your watering systems to ensure drippers aren’t blocked with insects/weeds and you’ve got the best pair of secateurs on hand to be constantly dead-heading all the magnificent rose blooms your garden has on display!

… It’s so special to read emails like this …

Just wanted to drop you a line to express my appreciation for GRA'S BLUE ROSE.

It is the first to open in my newly established garden and is pure undiluted joy! Blooming its heart out. I love the perfectly formed miniature blooms, and the sweetest perfume. Thankyou - I bought it without having seen it, (unusual for me) and it has completely exceeded my expectations, even this first time.
Kind regards, Ruth

Then there’s this one to commend our great team who pack roses for posting almost every day of the week …

Just wanted to reach out and say thank you for the fabulous customer service. Can’t believe an order we placed on Sunday morning was packed and delivered so quickly.

The roses are being planted in a memorial garden my sister and I are planting at home for all those that we have loved and lost. The roses will look stunning when they all flower .

Thank you once again - the great customer service and quality roses are why we come back year after year.

Also wanted to say thank you for the recommendation of Nahema Climbing rose - we planted this in memory of our mum who passed away. Pink roses were one of her favourite flowers - it is absolutely stunning and the perfume is amazing.

Thank you ?

CHILDREN LOVE ROSES TOO

… The blissful pleasure is evident on Olivia’s face as she opened a gift box and found the magnificent Olivia Rose Austin plant she received from her Oma and Grandad for her 6th birthday …

Q: What has no body and no nose?

A: Nobody nose!

WHITTLESEA AGRICULTURAL SHOW 2023 …

I’ll be at the Show judging roses in the Horticulture Pavilion – my daughter Joy will be my assistant so, if you’re visiting the Whittlesea Show, look out for us and we’ll have a chat.

Coming along to the Whittlesea Show is a great opportunity to bring a rose you need identified or perhaps there’s an issue with your roses which you need some advice about – we’re there each day.

Our family have been attending the Whittlesea Show for more than 40 years -it’s a great country event which is now very close to the city so make an effort to attend and enjoy our fabulous country hospitality!

Another giggle for you ...

Q: How many trees did the man cut down?

A: How wood I know?

Have a great week in your garden …
