BURGUNDY ICEBERG – Floribunda Rose and a sport of Brilliant Pink Iceberg which is a sport of the original ‘Iceberg’.
Discovered by Lilia Weatherly in Tasmania and released in 2004, this magnificent rose has the most velvety dark burgundy petals with a silver/white reverse and like most roses descendent of ‘Iceberg’, produces masses of clusters of blooms continually throughout a very long flowering season.
Burgundy Iceberg does have a fragrance! There is a slight honey/fruity fragrance which is particularly discernible in warm and still weather. The bush grows in every way similar to the parent – lovely rounded bush with glossy mid-green and very healthy foliage.
There is no more spectacular a display than this rose in a border or rose hedge in bushes or as STANDARD ROSES and especially where Burgundy Iceberg and Iceberg are used together. Very low maintenance, healthy and rewarding rose.
