ROSE RAMBLER 16TH DECEMBER, 2021

Published by Rose Sales Online on 16th Dec 2021

Hello Dear Rose Friends,
This is our last Rose Rambler for 2021 and we thank you from the whole of our hearts for your continued support of www.rosesalesonline.com.au and our nursery at Silkies Rose Farm, Clonbinane.

It has been an absolute pleasure to offer our expertise to ensure you enjoy growing roses in your garden and share a joke or two along the way!  May the roses we supplied during this past year continue to give you immense joy for many, many years.

In his usual, inimitable style, Gra has just one last joke which he saved for a Christmastime belly-laugh:
Q: There are ten cats on a boat.  One jumps off, how many are left?
A: None, they were all copycats!

Summer Rose Tips

On the more serious side, here are Gra’s tips for ensuring your roses endure the pressure of summer, especially if you go away:

  • Deep soak every time you turn on the hose, each rose should have at least 20 litres of water per week delivered at the same time!
  • Fertilize the garden NOW … quality organic fertilizer will ensure the garden flourishes in your absence.
  • Seaweed solution fortnightly is a tonic for the soil and should definitely be used for all potted plants continually through summer.
  • Have the garden weeded and mulched – looks like your garden is cared for and not prone to vandals.
  • Ask a very reliable person to come and tend your plants if you go away and offer a reciprocal arrangement where possible!

Christmas Gift Vouchers

Meantime, of course, you can continue to purchase roses online and if you need a last-minute Gift Voucher for somebody on your Christmas Gift List, BUY HERE.

Gift Vouchers can be redeemed easily by the recipient either immediately after Christmas for a potted rose which will be posted in January or perhaps a few bare-rooted roses to be supplied during winter, 2022.

Christmas Hours

We’ll close the Rose Farm next Monday, 20th December at 4.00pm and re-open on Friday, 21st January 2022 at 9.00am.

Please take a look at this short video that was shared with us. We love the message and wish this goodness for all!

ONE LAST GIGGLE BEFORE YOU GO:
Q: What Christmas carol is a favorite of parents?
A: Silent Night.

We wish you our most sincere Christmas Greetings for happiness shared with family and friends. May you enjoy lots of love and good health in 2022!  Cheers from Gra, Diana, Mooi, and the chooks at Clonbinane …
