Rose Rambler: 6th Jun 2024. Gardeners Great Day Out

7th Jun 2024

Hello Dear Rose Friends,

There are special days in everybody’s lives. Today would have been my younger sister’s 65thbirthday and Veronica was a beautiful girl with whom I shared some truly amazing times ... we fought like cats as teenagers, were ever-present during our pregnancies and our kids early years; we travelled to Holland together in 2011, the list goes on –we laughed, we cried, we loved!

I have Soul Sister and The Sister’s Rose planted in my garden to feel close with her which makes me understand all the more, how important our GIFT ROSE product is.

... Welcome to winter ... a very special time in our rose gardens –most especially I guess, if you’re welcoming new varieties of roses! Perhaps you’ve left things to the last minute and haven’t even checked out some of the most recent release roses which we can highly recommend ...

These three beauties planted together and spaced just 75-90cms apart will flounce over each other and densely cover an area of at least 2 metres in diameter –they’ll give you an abundance of blooms for vases and they’re all super-easy-care because they’ve got really healthy foliage. All would grow nicely in tubs too!

HAVE ANOTHER GIGGLE ..

Q. Why does a Flamingo lift up one leg?

A. Because if it lifted both legs, it would fall over!

Stay warm and rugged-up when you’re out working in your garden – trim spent flowers so that your bushes don’t look daggy but it’s a bit too early for winter pruning so let the bushes enjoy this cooler weather as they set about losing all their foliage too. Plant some bulbs and seeds which will create a mayhem of colour and food for bees in late-winter … enjoy all the moments in your winter garden …
