Hello Dear Rose Friends,
This is our last Rose Rambler for 2023 – we’ve enjoyed our journey with you throughout this past year as there’s no doubt we’re always learning lots about gardening and sharing information is definitely advantageous to us all. Thank you for your contributions and please keep them coming in 2024!
... I admire our team who collate orders then select the very best roses to bring to the packing shed area where they’re meticulously trimmed, soaked with seaweed solution and fertilized as needed. They are then taped into plastic bags to ensure moisture retention for at least 10 days if there are any delays in transit.
Our boxes are sturdy so that 6 x 20cm potted roses can be packed in one order consignment which makes posting potted roses extremely economical. However, many customers like James, want just one rose and he sent this lovely email …
Hi …I am just sending this to thank the staff involved with my order. The lady I bought it for was blown away - she loves it. I am also very pleased with how quickly you guys processed, packed and sent the rose.
Thank you, I will be visiting your site again and purchase more roses. Sincerely, James
My response: Thank you James, it’s always lovely to read an email like this since you took time out and I seriously appreciate that. I will print a copy so that all staff can feel proud of their efforts. Very best wishes to you for a Happy Christmas! Cheers - Gra
A giggle for you:

RESTORATIVE POWER OF NATURE AND GARDENS …
We are very proud to sponsor this event which will be held at Warragul in March, 2024 and I have my copy of ‘The Well Gardened Mind’ by Sue Stuart-Smith ready and waiting to be absorbed during our Christmas break.
If you’re stumped about what to gift a person you know who’s involved in any aspect of mental health or perhaps you have a keen interest in this topic yourself, visit warragulgardenclub.org website for more information and ticketing. Diana and I will definitely be attending this event.
A giggle for you:
Q: What do you have in December that’s not in any other month?
A: The letter D

Our gardens are facing new challenges – from warming temperatures and unpredictable weather patterns, to misinformation and detrimental trends. At Sustainable Gardening Australia, we're tackling these challenges head-on. We equip gardeners with the evidence-based know-how and practical tools to build resilient gardens that can stand strong, remain chemical free, save on resources, and provide a haven for local biodiversity. This year, make it your resolution to stand with us.
We're a not-for-profit, charitable organisation dedicated to fostering a connection with nature and building a thriving, biodiverse planet alongside sustainable communities. We strongly believe that with each of us making a commitment to some changes in our lives, we are collectively driving a shift for the greater good.
When you support Sustainable Gardening Australia with a donation, you're not just backing our mission – you're actively investing in your personal sustainability commitments for 2024.
