Mme Gregoire Staechlin is an Old Fashioned Climbing Rose which flowers only in the Spring but by golly, when it flowers, it is an absolute sight to behold and when you're drawn for a closer look, the fragrance will knock your socks off ... awesome rose, worthy of planting in a larger garden where it can reach it's magnificent potential.

The mid-pink blooms have a most charming waved petal form, last well and if left unpruned, there will be a most spectacular display of the plumpest large hips throughout autumn.

  • Non-repeat climbing rose
  • Spectacular sight when flowering in Spring
  • Produces masses of pear-shaped hips
  • Large, scrambling very healthy climber

Potted roses supplied in 20cm (8”) pots throughout the year.

2024 Season Roses will be available for pre-order soon.

    Spanish Beauty (her other name)

The only fault in this rose is that she flowers only once....but what a flowering! You get a month's display in spring of fragrant, scalloped (hence Spanish, like a flamenco dress), deliciously pink blooms, and that makes the rest of the year worthwhile. One of my truly loved roses. She still grows on the front veranda of my terrace house in Fitzroy, and every spring she stops the neighborhood with her display. A climber that's very easy to control; an easy lady to live with (unlike Albertine, Madam Alfred and so on!).
