Honey Dijon – Hybrid Tea rose of a most uncommon warm, golden brown colour with pink tinges at the petal ends in cool weather.
This rose is outstandingly healthy and disease-resistant which makes it possible for the home-gardener to grow this novelty-coloured rose when most earlier roses with ‘brown’ tones were difficult to grow.
The glossy dark green foliage is a beautiful foil for the heads of flowers which have a magnificently strong, fruity fragrance and are long-lasting when picked for the vase – one could be forgiven for thinking the flowers are made of silk, such is the unusual colour of Honey Dijon.
As the flowers of Honey Dijon fully open, the swirling mass of petals add a delightful dimension to all the other beautiful qualities of this lovely rose. All the photos are definitely taken with my own camera and are all Honey Dijon in different stages of development and different seasons - very striking and you will enjoy all these variables when you grow this beauty in your garden too!
