The End of Summer is Here!
Hello Dear Rose Friends! As summertime draws to a close, we still haven’t had any extremely hot weather, so our lawns are green, our swale and tanks are full of water and our potted roses look absolutely sensational!
It’s been an extraordinary summer indeed …
This is sharing how special posting our roses all year is:
"Well thanks heaps for supplying potted roses in the not - bare - root season! When you want them, and plant them carefully without shock, you really want them now! Also, if you're putting in bulbs etc, planting for multi-season interest, it's a pain digging up a perennial bed at different times of year, hacking through roots of actively growing species. So, thanks, so good! My bees are buzzing already … Amanda"
There are still lots of roses in pots but because a lot of varieties are now down to one or two specimens, we’re disabling the purchase of them in the online store. So, for a really interesting special this week, let’s do this:
Here are a few absolutely beautiful potted roses!
BEAUTIFUL GIRL: Another large-growing shrub rose from Kordes, Germany. The blooms are a romantic combination of silver and pink and because of the lovely tall, upright growth habit, you'll cut masses of perfectly formed blooms for vases in your home. SHOP NOW!
FALSTAFF: Stunningly beautiful, large flowers with masses of dark crimson petals & awesome fragrance, this rose should be kept in production! Recommend for growing in a pillar frame or against a post or wall. SHOP NOW!
TINTERN: One of the most rewarding roses to grow in almost any location in the garden - it's a fantastic rose in tubs too! This versatile rose is so stunningly bright and vivacious with orange blooms and a yellow reverse which is complemented by a lovely fragrance! SHOP NOW!
I think we’ll have a busy week posting roses next week – a great way to end this amazing summer with a difference. These beautiful roses are available at www.rosesalesonline.com.au. You’ll be able to plant gorgeous roses as your first autumn planting … most awesome season of all!
A little giggle for you this week:
Q. What has 20 legs and flies?
A. 10 pairs of pants!
If you particularly love to plant bare-rooted roses in your garden during winter, then go shopping NOW at www.rosesalesonline.com.au to select the bare-rooted roses option … bare-rooted roses will be posted from May to September this year. Yes, they’ll flower this spring/summer too!
There’s no question or doubt about it, roses are simply the most amazing flowering plants and we’re so pleased we have been offering roses for gardeners to plant in their gardens over the past 35 years!
Stay well and happy! Graham, Diana & Mooi
