Hello Dear Rose Friends,
We’re quite sure many of you are well and truly saturated after recent rains but we’re happy to report ‘nice’ rain with up to 20mm falling in the past few days so our potted roses and garden are contented. We hope those of you who have been inundated are beginning to experience sunny days and relief from the despair of flooding rain.
We have no idea of your flood experience other than to compare it to the devastation of what the Black Saturday 2009 fires did to our lives. Please know that we are with you all in spirit and if we can offer you our experience to recover and rejuvenate your garden, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email at info@rosesalesonline.com.au and we’ll help you in this journey of recovery as best we can!
After many weeks of very frustrating issues with our new phone system, we hope that all is now rectified – our phones are manned every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday – 9am till 4pm and yes, there is an opportunity to leave a message so that we can call you back if we’re busy. So sorry to those of you who were impacted by our recent telephone problems. 0418 33 77 65 is our telephone number moving forward.
Some weeks ago we gave instructions for transplanting roses and we’re pleased to tell you that Barbara was almost 100% successful in her endeavour to relocate her Dad’s 40-year-old roses during summer. Where to now in terms of fertilizing?
"Hi Barbara … so glad this has been a resounding success! You MUST fertilize the roses in pots at least once a month … sometimes granular fertilizer and sometimes foliage fertilizer … Eco seaweed is a tonic and has a whole lot of great benefits for plants and the environment but it is definitely NOT fertilizer!
Once newly transplanted roses show signs of buds swelling, it’s time to fertilize … don’t use massive amounts of fertilizer – little bits frequently is way better because that’s exactly how we ‘fertilize’ our bodies … little bits of food frequently! It all makes sense when you think about it.
Good luck with the next phase of your project … Gra"
The above information will be helpful to anybody who is potting and transplanting roses at this time of year. Keep a continual stream of fertilizer and seaweed solution up to all potted roses now and they’ll continue to bloom prolifically right into winter. Remember, the more foliage, the more flowers!
A GIGGLE FOR YOU:
