Raised by Delbard, France, this extraordinary double rose has intense deep blood-red blooms with the most striking fluted and outward curved petals which age to almost black and then fall cleanly from the bush.
Hommage a Barbara makes an unabashed colour statement being one of the darkest red floribunda style roses which would suit a low growing, very free flowering rose hedge-row. During the flowering season, this rose is never without trusses of endurable blooms.
The bush is exceedingly healthy, compact and rounded, growing to around 1 metre high with blooms all over the bush continually. One stem will delightfully fill the vase.
