Fairest Cape Hybrid Tea Rose is a modern, award-winning hybrid tea rose known for its rich multi-toned blooms and strong garden performance.

It produces large, classic high-centred flowers in a striking blend of deep apricot, orange, and pink tones, often with a yellow reverse to the petals. The colouring can shift noticeably as the blooms age, giving it a warm, “sunset” effect in the garden. Flowers are usually borne singly or in small clusters on long, strong stems, making it excellent for cutting and floral display.

The bush has a vigorous, upright to slightly arching habit, typically reaching around 80–120 cm, with glossy dark green foliage and repeat flowering through the season. It’s also known for good disease resistance and consistent blooming when well fed and grown in full sun.

Fragrance: Fairest Cape is considered lightly to moderately fragrant, often described as a soft, slightly spicy scent rather than a heavy perfume.

In short:

  • Colour: apricot → orange → pink blends (sunset tones)
  • Form: classic hybrid tea, large single stems
  • Habit: upright, healthy, repeat flowering
  • Fragrance: light–moderate, gently spicy

It’s one of those newer-style hybrid teas that’s grown more for its colour variation and strong garden reliability than strong fragrance, but it still holds up well as a cut rose.
