ROSE RAMBLER 13TH MAY, 2021

Published by Rose Sales Online on 13th May 2021

Hello Dear Rose Friends,
As we’re all enjoying the magnificent colour of autumn and we want to remind you of our MISSION STATEMENT:

  1. Advance the enjoyment of gardening;
  2. Educate the public to make gardening simple and fun;
  3. Encourage people to be aware of our environment;
  4. Provide information on the latest research into horticulture and
  5. Promote ideas to enable people to be creative in their own gardens.

We hope you agree that since we first committed to this by hanging it in our nursery back in 1990, we’ve held true to our dedication.  Some business owners copied our transparency, our willingness to ‘put our neck on the line’ so now, 21 years later, we’d be thrilled to have your feedback about us.

AUSTRALIA POST

We are so pleased that we remained positive and very assured and confident of our affiliation with Australia Post for sending our beautiful roses during past years!

Liz was really concerned when she placed an order recently so Diana was her usual positive self and Liz received the rose exactly as predicted:

“Hello again, Diana. I take back ALL I said about Australia Post, they have just delivered your rose.  Thank you so very much for your care & excellent service.  Cheers, Liz”

We send our roses with enormous confidence in Australia Post. Christine Holgate left her legacy because she was at the helm well before the start of Covid-19 and did more than 100% for small businesses like ours. She personally responded to my emails on a Saturday when I had an issue during 2019. Now, that, I'll never forget!  Yes, considering all, Auspost is fantastic!

“Hi Graham - Last newsletter talking about mulch. Have you used Canola mulch at all?
I have seen some for sale but am a bit concerned it might be full of pesticides as I am sure I have read canola crops are heavily sprayed.  Many thanks – Ann”

My response:  Hey Ann. I think I would be wary too. I guess there are more people know loads more about this than I do so I would be talking to people at the ‘source’ … who grew it, where, how???  All very relevant because you’ll be handling it and even more important to consider, you’ll be inhaling it as you spread it around!!!  Take care … cheers - Gra"

For a giggle:
Did you hear about the hold up at the local laundromat?  Two pegs held up a singlet!
